Short-form videos have become an important way for businesses to capture attention, communicate brand messages and engage audiences across social media. However, producing compelling video content can be time-consuming when it requires scripting, visual design, filming, animation, music production and editing. Generative AI offers a practical way to simplify this process and help individuals and organisations create video content more efficiently.
AI Video Creation for Social Media Marketing is a practical 1-day instructor-led course designed to guide participants through the complete AI video creation process, from an initial idea to a finished short video. Participants will explore how AI tools can support prompt writing, image generation, image-to-video animation, storyboarding, music creation and video editing. No previous AI or video production experience is required

Short-form video is now the fastest way to capture attention, build a brand and drive sales, and AI has made it possible for anyone to produce cinematic content without a camera crew or editing background. This hands-on one-day workshop takes participants from their very first AI prompt to a finished short video. Participants will learn a complete, repeatable AI workflow: writing structured prompts with Claude / ChatGPT, generating images with Nano Banana Pro, building reference sheets for visual consistency, storyboarding with ChatGPT, animating with Seedance 2.0/2.5 and Wan 3.0, composing original music with Suno and assembling the final cut in CapCut. Through guided demonstrations, interactive games, practical exercises and a final project, every participant will walk away with their own AI short video and the confidence to create more for work, business or personal content.
Upon completing the course, participants should be able to:
- Understand how generative AI interprets prompts and apply a structured prompt formula for consistent, high-quality results.
- Use Claude / ChatGPT as a prompt partner to turn rough ideas into detailed image and video prompts.
- Generate and edit professional-quality images using Nano Banana Pro.
- Animate still images into video clips using Seedance 2.0/2.5 and Wan 3.0, and know when to use each tool.

This course is designed for corporate staff, small business owners and content creators at beginner to intermediate level who want to create engaging short-form video content using AI. No prior video production or AI experience is required. Beginners will build a solid end-to-end workflow, while intermediate users will benefit from advanced prompting, consistency and troubleshooting techniques.
Module 1: Prompting Fundamentals with Claude / ChatGPT
- Apply the 7-part prompt formula: Subject + Action + Setting + Style + Lighting + Camera + Mood.
- Use Claude / ChatGPT as a prompt partner to expand rough ideas into detailed, ready-to-use prompts.
- Build a personal prompt template that can be reused across image and video tools.
- Image = WHAT you see
- Video = WHAT you see + HOW it moves + WHAT you hear
- Practical: Prompt Upgrade Challenge: Rebuild a weak prompt (e.g. “a cat in a café”) using the formula and compare the before-and-after results.
Module 2: AI Image Generation with Nano Banana Pro- Navigate the Google Flow interface and key settings for Nano Banana Pro, including aspect ratio & number of generation.
- Generate high-quality images using the structured prompt formula.
- Refine images with conversational follow-up edits: outfit, background, camera angle and lighting.
- Upload reference photos (e.g. products or people) and blend them into new scenes.
- Practical: Exercise 1: Write a formula prompt with Claude / ChatGPT, generate a hero image and refine it through two rounds of edits.
Module 3: Image to Video: Animate Your First Shot- Differentiate image-to-video and text-to-video and know when to use each.
- Write effective motion prompts covering subject action, camera movement, pacing and ambient sound.
- Watch a live demonstration on the AI platform, which gives access to both Seedance 2.0/2.5 and Wan 3.0 in one workspace.
- Compare Seedance 2.0/2.5 and Wan 3.0: strengths, clip length, output quality and credit cost.
- Select the right generation settings: duration, resolution and aspect ratio.
- Practical: Exercise 2: Animate your hero image in either Seedance / Wan 3.0 or Google Omni Flash and compare the results side by side.
