AS-103: Agile Mindset with JIRA

This course is designed to equip learners with the knowledge and skills needed to cultivate an agile mindset and effectively utilise Jira as a powerful tool for agile project management. This course combines the principles of agile methodologies with practical hands-on experience using Jira, a popular project management and issue-tracking software. Learners will gain a deep understanding of Jira and how it can be used to support agile practices.

• Use Jira to support selected Agile practices
• Use Jira to track progress, identify and address issues, and manage team collaboration
• Use Jira reporting and analytics tools to measure team performance and identify areas for improvement
• Use Jira to support Agile practices and workflows in a distributed or remote team
• Manage an Agile project using Jira Software Cloud

Those with some Agile knowledge but keen to implement Agile Scrum in the context of Jira.

Module 1: Introduction to Agile Mindset and Jira

• Covers the basic concepts of the Agile mindset and how it can be applied to software development projects. It also introduces Jira Software, a popular project management tool used in Agile methodologies

Module 2: Agile Principles In Relation To Jira

• Covers the twelve principles of Agile software development, and its application in Jira

Module 3: Agile Methodologies In Relation To Jira

• Provides an overview of popular Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban including key roles and ceremonies in each methodology in relation to Jira

Module 4: Jira Software Fundamentals

• Covers the basics of Jira Software, including creating and managing projects, issues, and boards. It also covers how to customize Jira to fit your team's needs

Module 5: Agile Project Management with Jira

• Covers how to use Jira Software to manage Agile projects, including creating and managing sprints, backlogs, and releases. It also covers how to use Jira Software to track team progress and report on project status.

Module 6: Jira Project Simulation

• Hands-on experience in managing an agile project from start to finish using Jira. Using a project simulation, learners will apply key agile principles and practices to plan, execute, and deliver an Agile product/outcome in a simulated environment
