Conceptual project management is a crucial aspect of the whole project management process, and it is not confined to individuals with formally designated project management roles. In fact, many individuals who are not project managers can benefit from a thorough understanding of project management principles and procedures.
The "Project Management for Business and Support Teams" course is intended to provide a foundation in conceptual project management for those who may not have a formal project management function, but who must nevertheless participate in or contribute to project efforts. This could include team members, functional managers, or executives who are not directly responsible for project management but must understand how to perform effectively in a project context.
Non-project managers will obtain a greater understanding of the conceptual project management process and how to interact and cooperate successfully with project managers and other project team members by participating in this course.

This project management course is designed specifically for non-project management professionals. The assumption made here is that non-project management professionals here could mean Management teams, Business Teams, Sales teams, HR teams, Finance teams, less experienced project teams and/or new project managers, etc. These professionals support and/or work with project teams in a project environment.
It is also assumed that these non-project management professionals may not have a lot of experience in project management principles or best practices although they may be working in project environments for a few years.
Therefore, the main purpose of this course is to provide a structured awareness and basic understanding to these non-project management professionals regarding proper project management principles, concepts and best practices and how these work in tandem with the performing organization and project teams to increase effectiveness and value.
