PHP Beginner

PHP Beginner is a 2-day instructor-led course designed for those new to programming or transitioning into web development. This practical training introduces the PHP language—one of the most widely used server-side scripting languages for web development.

Participants will start with foundational programming concepts, including PHP syntax, variables, data types, and control structures such as loops and conditionals. You'll progress to using functions, arrays, and PHP’s powerful superglobal variables like $_GET, $_POST, and $_SESSION.

A strong emphasis is placed on applying object-oriented programming (OOP) principles—such as classes, objects, inheritance, and constructors—to help you structure your code for maintainability and scalability.

Hands-on modules include:

• File handling for reading and writing content to the server

• Database interaction using both MySQLi and PDO

• CRUD operations (Create, Read, Update, Delete) with real-world use cases

• Error handling and debugging to catch issues early and write robust applications

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Write PHP scripts that interact with forms and databases
