Project Leadership and Best Practices for Experienced Project Teams is a 3-day intensive program designed for seasoned project professionals—project managers, team leads, supervisors, and team members with 5 or more years of project experience. This course helps experienced practitioners sharpen their leadership skills, align with PMI-based best practices, and bridge knowledge gaps before pursuing certifications like PMP®.

Building on participants' real-world experience, this course covers:

  • Deep understanding of Project vs. Operational Management

  • Strategic alignment of Program Management and Portfolio Management within organizations

  • How organizational structures impact project success, governance, and delivery

  • The five PMBOK process groups: Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring & Controlling, Closing

  • The ten PMBOK knowledge areas, from Integration to Stakeholder Management

Unlike introductory courses, this workshop focuses on working-level application of tools and techniques such as:

  • Creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

  • Building a Project Schedule Network Diagram and performing Critical Path Analysis

  • Applying Earned Value Management (EVM) for performance monitoring

  • Conducting Risk Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis

  • Understanding and negotiating contract types (CPIF, FPIF)

  • Performing Stakeholder Analysis and planning Engagement Strategies

Participants will complete practical exercises, simulations, and real-world discussions that strengthen their ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage project constraints, and navigate complex project environments with strategic clarity.

By the end of the course, participants will:

  • Confidently apply PMBOK-based standards at a working level

  • Lead teams more effectively using industry best practices

  • Develop better project control mechanisms across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk

  • Improve their organization’s project maturity and stakeholder satisfaction
